Performance of Hybrid THz and Multiantenna RF System With Diversity Combining

Recent studies investigate single-antenna radio frequency (RF) systems mixed with terahertz (THz) wireless communications. This article considers a two-tier system of THz for backhaul and multiple-antenna-assisted RF the access network. We analyze performance by employing both selection combining maximal ratio receivers link integrated using fixed-gain amplify-and-forward protocol. develop probability density function cumulative distribution end-to-end signal-to-noise (SNR) dual-hop over independent nonidentically distributed $\alpha$ – notation="LaTeX">$\mu$ fading channels statistical model misalignment errors in link. use derived results to analytical expressions outage probability, average bit error rate, ergodic capacity assessment considered system. diversity order asymptotic analysis high-SNR region, demonstrating scaling number antennas. computer simulations show effect channel parameters on hybrid THz-RF multiantenna schemes.
